Identity Theft Prevention

The Doniphan County Board of Commissioners voted to purchase a software program that will help prevent identity theft; register of Deeds Susan Shuster explained that the Recording Notification Services program (RNS) will alert people via email when a new document has been recorded either under their name or the property they own. A motion was made for a one time fee of $11,520 to be deducted from the Register of Deeds budget for the purchasing of the software program.
